My Bio
My name's Shayla, I'm almost 19, and I currently reside in Grants Pass. I suppose you could say that I've been a member since I was in sixth grade. I've never posted my deviations online, and it's taken a lot of guts to get thus far lol. I do not use Photoshop. I prefer to draw with my trusty mechanical pencial and color with my Crayola markers/crayons/map pencils. The favorite band is HIM, closely followed by Lady Gaga, Green Day, The Lonely Island, and System of a Down. My style is a wee bit alternative: I'm not goth, I'm not punk, and I'm NOT emo. I like girly things too. I LOVE to wear skirts and heels although living in a place where rain happens frequently, I never get to :c. My last place of residence was San Antonio, Texas; specifically in the NE side. I do write fanfic and I'm currently trying to write a 100% original story that I do want to get published. My art is NOT high quality. I'm not a tedious draw-er. But, I like them, so I figure I'd share them with you :) Btw, I should probably let you know that I LOVE Batman and the Joker :]

As I was soundly sleeping this morning (afternoon is more like it), my cell phone went off, revealing a text message. While sleeping, I had amassed 16 texts. Most of them were from a friend's twitter and some from facebook. But one text caught my breath- "I have bad news, Bellebear. Ryan Dunn's dead." I couldn't believe it. I sent off a reply and got on my computer as fast as I could. My craptop couldn't start up fast enough. Sure enough, as soon as I got on yahoo.com, the front page story says 'Jackass star dead, nine days after his 34th birthday, in a tragic car crash.' My heart sank. I've really been getting into my art lately. I feel so sophisticated calling it art :D lol. Recently, I've decided to try and get better at Photoshop (a weakness of mine Dx). Also, my mama got a job! YAY! Which means, more time to my art. Mwahahahahahaha. And more flexibility with money too. I've been trying to find stuff to make digital art easier soooooo, I'll let ya'll know how that goes :D

This morning has definitely not been a great one. I fell asleep at nine last night (a rarity even when I was in school), and woke up at six. Why did I wake up at six? Because the crappy house we live in, the ceiling leaks. In my room. Above my bed. So yeah, I woke to this huge patch of water on my comfortor and sheets. At first I thought I left my window open and it had rained, but nothing else was wet. So I threw my sheets and comfortor in the dryer for twenty minutes and rearranged my room.
